Moving along
Well, I hit a milestone last weekend, doing 8 on Friday and 16 on Saturday. I didn't set any world records but I felt good for most of it and already feel good enough to probably finish 13 and 26 back to back, albeit somewhat slowly without more training. I went out today and ran a really strong 5K so that made me feel like I must be doing something on the conditioning side, although I would like to be losing weight more quickly, it is a hell of a lot easier to not drag it along. We are going to Disney on Friday so I am going to modify my running plan a bit and use this as a step back week. I may try a medium run in FL but it will depend on the heat, I don't enjoy running in anything much over 70. Back to the salt mines the week after, with an 9 and 18, it should be fun!

Well I got 13 miles in on October 3 in about 2:30, which isn't great but it is more about logging the miles and time than trying to hit a pace. I should have run 6 the day before but I just didn't have the energy after being in FL. I had a really bad 5K yesterday, I probably walked half of it, my legs just felt really heavy. On a better note though, I did a strong 5 tonight and did the second half faster than the first half, which is always a good sign. I also offered a week in our FL house as a raffle prize this week to help raise money for the Breast Cancer fund. Hopefully that will get some legs, bad joke not intended. The big running test will be this weekend. I need to do 5 or 6 on Friday and 14 on Saturday. At least the weather is really cooling down, that helps me tremendously.
